Best wood preserver to use for coop

Ey up! We're STILL in the building stage of the coop, etc - we've got some Cuprinol to paint the outside but need to get some wood preserver. Any chicken/child friendly suggestions folks?

Also wondered whether you'd do the inside of the coop - figured it would make it last longer but we don't want to be fannying about just for the sake. I just wanna crack on and pick us chickens up, lol!

I got one of those pop bottle drinkers for the run - do you put food/water inside ethe coop too for midnight snacks, etc?!

just use cuprinol on the outside .keep the birds out till its dry as it gives off a few fumes .. dont do inside .smear vasaline in all the joints cracks .
drinkers only inside ....... werks for me
still alive /............
