« on: February 05, 2012, 23:02 »
I have broad beans in the plot which are about 3 - 4 inches high. with the snow will they be ok?  Should I have covered them with fleece, bit late maybe?

I guess most of them will survive as they are from the seeds who can be planted in November time. Or, the package should have changed its instructions.

They're usually pretty bomb-proof
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Snow actually forms an insulating blanket and the soil can be a lot warmer than the ambient air temperature.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I haven't seen mine recently.

However, I'd agree with NS and DD. If they were out and fine so far, they should be OK.
