Hi, returned from hols 20 mins ago.  Our lady who feeds the hens said one was looking ill and had yellow stuff coming from her beak.  She checked on her a little later today and she seemed fine, and reckoned she'd possibly eaten yolk.

On returning tonight, checked on her and she is deffo under the weather.  Head under wing - usually they wake up and cluck when we shine a torch in... very lethargic and dull.

She is an ex bat. nearly 3 years old.

Any advice please.

I would see how she is in the morning, as she is an ex batt she is now a ripe old age.

yeah, really not good. won't leave the coop for breakfast, really dull eyes and comb, looks awful TBH.  Poor Margo.  At least she had a brilliant life having been rescued.  :-(

Hello ceix. With regards to yellow stuff coming from beak could it be a blockage in her crop? I would check to see if crop is full of solid or full of fluid. Our ex batt, the last of 4, is nearly 4 years old now.
