Had a day out today with the girls (Bel, Sian and Casey - O/H and sproggs)

We visited two Wyevale Garden Centres on our trip and they are having a clearance sale at present. Both centres had literally thousands of packets of seeds reduced to 25p per packet.  Everything from Broadbean, Peas, Beetroot, carrot, Leeks etc...  There are also flower seeds as well.  Suttons and T&M seem to be the major brands but there are others.  Plant by dates are next year or early in 2008.

We have taken advantage of this offer - spent miles too much, but as we are getting a 2nd half plot in January I am sure we will use them.

If you have a centre near you it is worth a trip - but things are going quickly as I am sure you can imagine. Hope this save some of you a little money

Regards

Oh Rugby, what a shame!  Our nearest Wyevale is MILES away!  I wonder if its to do with the fact that they were taken over earlier this year?

Thanks for that information.  I sent my girlfriend off there with her mother today to the Hereford branch.  She won't admit how many packets she bought!  But it's more than Heather...  Many more...  I think we'll be eating the seeds there are that many!

We can beat 25p.  B&Q on the Old Kent Road has seeds at 10p per packet.  Some of them 'expired' last year, but save for parsnip that shouldn't make any difference.

I grew those last year but went for smaller variety this year - they were much appreciated halloween gifts for the kids but gave the parents a hernia lifting them!!!
