I think it might be, Trillium because our big bulls blood and boltardy were woody so we eat them up when they are small now

It should be the rare exception that does not get woody at that size. I do not know which one. :unsure:

I think I may give the Cylindra a go, we do like a good pickled beetroot and they should be ideal for that.

The mystery of the Giant Beetroot continues it apparently was filmed just down the road from me at Heligan so I've E-mailed them.

I await thier answer!

I grow Detroit and very delish it is too. I grow all colours of shades of beets  :)

I guess they are frozen solid now anyway (-7deg here now)
