How much wick do i have up

Got a new to me Eltex greenhouse heater, how long should the wick be up  :blush:

It's too high if the flame goes yellow should be blue. Yellow will give off soot.

As long as it blue it's OK, but obviously the shorter it is, the less heat it's giving out as it's burning less paraffin.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

After filling leave for 1/2-1 hour for wick to work properly before lighting,then check 10 mins later to check flame
If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of food

Is your heater a blue flame type?I have 3 Eltex heaters, 2 burn with a yellow flame.
If the flame is too high then it burns orange and smokes, they have straight wicks. the other has a different design burner with more air holes,a circular wick and burns blue.
