Manure on Garlic?
« on: October 13, 2007, 20:45 »
Ive got my garlic to put in in the next couple of days, and my onion setts. Im also going to collect some horse manure. Ive got a choice of fresh or well rotted (and all inbetween),

now, am i ok to dig some in just before putting in the garlic and onions? im assuming to use well rotted in that case... whats everyones opinion on that?

slightly off-topic, my little boy Sam is here and is pestering to have a go on the computer so this is his typing -

I rotovate in my pigeon poop before I plant as well as some in mulch, and I always get good yields, no diaper rashes at all. I must use a better quality of poop than Munty does

my garlic has only just gone in, not showing yet (well, its only been 12h)
am i ok to put a 1-2inch mulch layer of well rotted on top then?

going to collect some in about half hour
