they are the sweetheart type (pointed cabbage)  planted them towards the end of July august (I think) it my second time with these again a failure or am I trying to harvest them to early

There are many varieties of "sweetheart"  or hispi cabbage.

Specifically what variety are yours and more importantly, what did it say on the packet?

what variety are they?  it makes a lot of difference to when they are ready....some varieties won't heart for a long while yet.

ah well there lies a problem then, as I no longer have the seed packet and i don't seem to have kept a record (nothing unusual there then !) perhaps I shall just have to be patient
