For those you have yet to buy (or sow   ) your tomato seeds the 2011 tomato survey results are now available HERE.

Thanks again to all those who contributed.  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I find this really useful.

I wonder if we could all provide more/better info this year to make JayG's job easier and more 'significant'? For example, all putting whether the tomato is cordon or bush, or colour, or type/size? And if this was done as a kind of poll (where we can see how many responses there have been for each variety), it might encourage people to provide data on varieties we're short of entries for?

Given the number of varieties available, a poll would be very difficult.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks for trying to save me some work Savbo, but as DD says there are an awful lot of potential contenders (79 varieties in last year's poll and that's with a few "obvious" contenders missing!) and a poll would probably be a complete pain to try and maintain and would still have to be collated manually, not to mention being so unwieldy no-one would probably be able to bear to look at it!

What it really needs of course for the results to be more statistically sound is for more of the near-20,000 registered members of this site to vote (maybe not toooooo many more though!   ::) )

Thank you, for doing it Jay!

It's very interesting to say the least.
