My tomatilla obsession came from a picture of some Latino farmer in the States tilling his field. From that newspaper cutting the project was born.

I might try outdoor melons again. All I got was boy flowers. No girls so no fruit. Also I planted them too late.

I detect a certain amount of determination and b*****mindedness will be evident in the plots this coming year. A vital ingredient as important as manure and the sun.
