Hi everyone, i've not been on in a long time due to being very busy & various illnesses. Since my last visit my flock has expanded from 8 to 30 
I also started hatching last spring/summer and have an unidentified bird. I bought Silkie...Pekin/Silkie...Pekin and Polish Bantam eggs. However the one pictured is none of those breeds and i think it's a hen??

Thank you 4chooks...i did think that but then it's totally different to my Speckledy and also has yellow legs

Will Google yellow legged chickens and see if any of the pics match up

It's barred and therefore and almost certainly a cockerel.  A lot of sex-linked cockerels look like this.  I think you may have had a stray egg in with yout silkie/Pekin mix

Think there may be a bit of legbar in there possibly???

After Googling some Legbar pics they are the ones with the most likeness to the mystery bird...thank you Evansent...now just waiting for an egg or a doodle doo

I'd guess its a cockerel, handsome fellow too

It doesn't behave like any of the other boys...i shall try the neck feather test tomorrow.
