Ha, are we having strange weather or what.

Back in September I had two plum tomatoes in a tiny lean-to greenhouse, unheated. I use it mostly for bringing on seedlings, but when they are done I put a couple of tomatoes in.

In November I hadn't got around to clearing it out and we had a frost, but the tomatoes didn't seem bothered at all and a sly plan began to form in my head, could they be overwintered? - Rubbish I hear you cry.

In late November they came back into flower, so again I left them alone.

Today I picked one ripe plum tomato.

It will propbably taste like ...............................

Nothing surprises me this year, but congratulations on your restraint. I hope it tastes good! :happy:

There are still a couple of mini peppers on the plant in our lean-to.

And yet the sweet pepper I left in my polytunnel (Purple Beauty, so fairly tough as sweet peppers go) has curled up and died some time back. Weird, isn't it.
