I left it a bit late harvesting my broad beans last year and I had good intentions but before I could do anything, the pods got mouldy so I tossed them in the compost only to find the pods last week on top of the pile, and the beans inside starting to germinate. So I rescued some of the sprouted beans and planted them in pots and they are nicely germinating
I've left them outside as too often when keeping them sheltered in a greenhouse, they get a bit tall and the stem weak which makes it difficult to plant out later. These are Karmazyn which are a pinky colour bean.
I'm still deciding what else to sow but I think my biggest problem at the moment is finding suitable available window sill space - I've been overwintering the chilli plants and they are doing ever so well so don't want to move them.
