Gosh, darn, dammit and poo.  Luckily I am not someone that buys on impulse and likes to get information first, so it will remain in the shop.  I've seen an 8x12 aluminium polycarbonate greenhouse for £479 with free next day delivery, so just a little more and a bit more space inside.   ;)

A greenhouse can never be too big. :D

Now that sounds great Ice.

I've been looking myself as, having had my little tunnel take flight last year, I've decided a greenhouse is the best idea. I'll be interested to hear of possible pitfalls with these.

The money's burning a hole, Ice, but patience will get you the best value for your money.

I think it will need to be bolted down onto something sturdy and the windows might need to be siliconed in as already mentioned.  My old greenhouse was a secondhand aluminium one and was very sturdy despite having been rebuilt several times.  The horticultural glass made it weigh a ton so it was just freestanding.

I reckon there will be more than a little patience needed to put it all together Trillium. :D

Don't know if you saw Auntiemogs post on frugal living Ice, but she put up a link to a site that may interest you.

They do greenhouses including a 6' by 8' green framed polycarbonate glazed one for £269.99.  I've got my greenhouse in the front garden as that where I have most space and its a green coloured one.  Doesn't stand out half so much as a silver one  :)

My old one was that size and it also shrank in the rain. :D

I've looked on ebay but couldn't find anything in the same price range, sadly.

Don't forget that the advertised sizes are nominal and the actual length and width will be around 5% greater - I know someone who had to take his secateurs to an adjoining hedge becase he forgot about that in his excitement (just can't recall his name at the moment!  :tongue2:)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Think really hard JayG.  Plenty of room for it here, no need to trim any hedges.

Ill be getting a new model this year too, probably with same sort of budget (4-500) and im always looking on ebay. I think you can pick up quality secong hand wooden ones for this sort of price and i think thats the way ill be going. Am i right in thinking that the wooden greenhouses just bolt together, and are easier/less intricate to take down and put up than the usual alu ones?
