Finally gave up looking for the water butt tap I bought a few weeks ago - I have absolutely no idea where it has gone - so I have ordered one online today.

Later today I popped up and checked on the coldframe and greenhouse, watering a few things that were flagging.

I'm a bit gutted as I took a tray of modules planted with pak choi on Saturday and I found them completed decimated by a very happy (now deceased) snail that was nestling in the coldframe.

Planted out the rest of the tall pea plants from modules

Sowed some more carrot seed (early nantes) as the other seedlings had fed baby slugs before I spotted them --- now expelled from the plot

Harvested another large bag of spinach

Mrs Sunny put covers on the sides of the giant-cloche-thingy. I am now impressed and can't wait to use it

Digging, digging and more digging!!!! Now have a whole bed and a half to plant things  :D

Chatted to some lovely neighbours and one even gave me a rosemary bush which I then had to dig a hole for and plant  :D

Got bored of digging beds so just went and played hunt the dandelion!!!! More fun than general digging as quite therapeutic when you manage to get all the root out!!! quite frustrating when you don't!!!

Spent 5 hours at the Lottie!!! Wasn't bored once and ended up taking off my raincoat and jumper as the temperature went up to 16 degrees  :D

Hoed between the shallots, strawberries, onions, broad beans and through the empty patches.

Planted beetroot grown in modules and peas too.
Sowed three types of spinach (Tirza, Bordeaux & Fiorana)
Sowed another two rows of carrots

Covered the first spud through with a layer of grass mowings
Cut the path edges and picked a bag of broccoli

Dug solidly for four hours. Much bindweed removed and more ground cleared. Planted parsley in the herb bed. Hoed several other beds. Watered plants in greenhouses. Re potted three globe artichokes. Spent a little time planting wild garlic under the hazelnut tree. It looks better every time I visit. Had to smile when a fellow allotmenteer pointed out that the plot opposite looks like a graveyard! I had not noticed before, but all the beds are sort of coffin sized and edged with grass. It does indeed look like a graveyard! Just need some tombstones with plant names on to complete the look!

Worked all afternoon in the garden at home.

Planted up 4 pots with annuals. Also planted up the large circular bed with Verbena.

Moved the dalek compost bin to the opposite side of the garden and put all the composting waste back in. Found a couple of bees when forking over the compost. Now have several bees buzzing around outside the composter.  Hope they go away.

Nothing much. I went up there to check everything and pick some dandelions, plantain and sage for two of my rabbits but really I just wanted to take my mind off having to leave my other two at the vets  :( Everything is doing well, including the weeds, parsnips are germinating. My turnips and kohlrabi have some suspect small holes in the leaves though.  ???

Short visit again today water seeds set away on the shelf in the shed by the window.
Begonias starting to sprout I put the corms in a dry compost and just mist spray every day hope they survive they are the ones I took out of the boarder at home last year.
Walked round the plot with the hoe just a few weeds showing through. But I do this on most visits .
