Recently my 2 chickens have been making alot more noise and was wondering if anyone could give me an ideas as how to reduce this.  They are now in a bigger coop and i've tried to put things in to entertain them but this does not appear to have helped

HI my chucks are very noisy when i first let them out but then are quiert ish the rest of the time  :happy: you could try tyhrowing a bit of corn arround for them to scratch about in what type of flooring have you got in your run ? the only time mine are realy noisy is if they see a cat or dog its just a form of warning

I have wood chip on the floor and had wondered if the noise was down to them being bored.  I've tried to add things to keep them occupied but didn't want to put too much in as I didn't want to reduce the floor space too much

Hi Bubbles, I only find my old batts noisy when they want to be let out of their enclosure - once out they are totally quiet, busy pecking around and dust bathing.   Could you perhaps create a dust bath area in their coop to keep them busy if you cant let them out?   Leaves, sand, something to "wallow" in, they do love it and it would keep them occupied!
