A little bit of help needed please...

For the first time ever tonight, our chooks have refused to go into their coop, even though the door's wide open and I even have a 'night light' on a timer set up in there for them...

(I tried this to stop them from roosting in the boxes and pooing in them, it worked a treat so left it as is...    )

Could it be because it's blowing and absolute hooligan out there tonight, and maybe something's fallen/blown over and could of spooked them or something else.

I've checked the coop for 'visitors' but still nowt?? 

Am I missing something??

You say you checked your coop for visitors.  Did that include redmite?  get a piece of white paper and slip it into the cracks and crevices.  If it comes out stained red then you have redmite.

Did the red mite thing, we're spotless 

They've gone in no problem tonight, so maybe it was just the wind doing funny things last night, it's alot calmer this evening.
