i grew Montgomery and cromwell, both great croppers of very decent sized sprouts. picked Christmas eve and where great.

Cromwell for me every time, start harvesting oct/nov. stands well to end of January. I always grew 'Peer Gynt' until it was taken off the market. The packet states that Comwell is an improved variety of Peer Gynt. 
There is no better show of antisipation than a man sowing seeds in a field.
