Injured chooks
« on: November 17, 2011, 21:36 »
I have just suffered a fox attack and lost 7 bantams in one go - I have two very subdued birds remaining with wounds on their backs - lucky to survive - can I treat with Gentian?? Any suggestions welcome

They are eating and drinking so I am hopeful

I am so sorry that you have lost your 7 bantams.  It must have been awful for all of you.  Yes use Gentian and good luck with the recovery of your two remaining chickens.

how awful for you, try all you can to keep your birds calm whilst they recover and then look at any way you can fox proof your set up as sadly foxy will be back  :(
Staffies are softer than you think.
