Scotts/Wolf Garten spreader settings conversion
« on: October 24, 2011, 14:13 »
Hi,

Just finished treating our lawn with Autumn feed, using my Wolf Garten drop spreader (big wheeled one)

It's always hit and miss, as we use Scotts feed, and the box always gives the setting for their equivilent 'big wheeled' spreader, but of course the numbers don't match up as mine is a Wolf Garten.

Sometimes I think it would be easier to go and buy the Scotts spreader, but I just wondered whether anyone has converted these figures, or the other option is to try out Gwiz's calibration method.

Thanks
Damon

Aside, from calibration settings.I usually go middle 4 diddle in ideal application weather :D.If i get no scorch  :tongue2: i open the spreader to the next number on the next spreading ,untill i find a happy medium .However,on reading that, you`d be better off calibrating your spreader. :)
