my vet prescribes frontline spray for my hens. As frontline isn't licensed for poultry I have to sign for it  :)

Do you mean mites or lice? For lice I use Johnsons cat flea spay (kitten strength) Small spary on back of choocks neck, under each wing and by the vent. (Make sure you cover the vent!! Imagine sparying a chemical on your bits and pieces - ouch!) As for red mite Ive never had an infestation of the little beasties yet (no doubt my time will come) but I'm armed and dangerous with Poulty Shield.
1 fiance, 3 kids, 1 fish, 1 cat, 9 poland bantams, 6 Barbu de Watermael, 2 allotment plots and not enough time!
