I'm posting this photo but please don't tell the mods or experts because they'll tell me off for hatching chicks in my incubator so late in the year!!!  Five gorgeous day old Salmon Faverolles, who hatched this week on Monday and Tuesday.

Two for sure!  The black wing tips are so obvious now that I can compare a few of them together.  They are quite nervous though and so different to the Hubbard table birds I hatched 12 weeks ago who seemed to double in size within days of hatching.

They'll be safe in the garage until they're old enough to cope with the cold weather.

I can't belive they're nervous though   My salmon Favs were the most friendly birds I ever hatched... unfortunately all 3 of mine were boys (but they were very tasty!)

What age would you recommend Casey?

They are fluffy so may appear bigger than they really are.  I dispatched mine at 22-26 weeks, and they gave a reasonable carcass, enough for 2 people plus leftovers
