Quantity of Mixing of fluvenvet

Hi Folks.  I want to worm my girls but am a little confused to how much I can mix up in one go. I have 4 chooks.  I understand it is better to mix the flubenvet with a little vegetable oil so it sticks to the layers pellets. How much do I need to mix for 7 days and is it alright to mix a large amount with the oil and keep it for use over the 7 days or mix a small amount every day. Advice gratefully received. There is usually a little measuring spoon that comes with it - a level spoon is 6g and as ANHBUC says is enough for 2kg of feed.
I usually mix fresh each day, so I can guage how much feed (and medication) they are getting through each day.

I mixed mine with a small amount of oil and it should not go off if you are storing it in a cool dry place.  2kgs does not last long with my 6 hens though, they were eating over 1kg each per week in the summer even thought they were in a grass covered 30 sq meter enclosure.  If your 4 hens have a good appetite you will probably need to mix 2 batches of 2kgs for the 7 days.  Hope this helps.

Best to do them every 3 months I think.  Prevention is better than cure, so I'm told!

Hi mo and welcome to the forum.  Don't know where you are but I intend on worming mine with flubenvet in December which is my winter just to keep up the 3 monthly routine of prevention.
