« on: October 01, 2007, 14:33 »
Hi All

I have a ten week old Wynadotte bantam but she appears to have got a bit of a cold, her breathing is very raspy. i have put her under a heat lamp in the shed at the moment and she seems a lot happier. is there any medication i can give her to help her recovery. :?:

I have a poorly hen with the same type of symptoms. Took her to the vet and he diagnosed mycoplasma. She's had a couple of shote of Oxetetracyclin and she's a lot better. Only thing is I've had to being her indoors....the spare room in fact......and I have someone staying with me too at the moment! The hen has'nt complained tho'!!!

I was thinking Mycoplasma too agapanthus. It can often creep in as a secondary infection and be quite difficult to treat  :(
