I'm thinking of getting three runner ducks to free range in the garden. Will they eat my veggie patch?

They will certainly have a munch!  Mine tend to go for seedlings rather than mature veg though.

Agree with min200 but they will turn the veg patch over for you during winter and clear it of weeds and slugs!!

Yes, they will eat any young veg and any salad veg (we found they often pulled up freshly planted seedlings too!)
We found the only way to keep the veggies safe was to enclose the veg patch with a chicken wire fence..... but even now the ducks stick their heads in and have a munch if there is anything they fancy! (should have used the smaller, more expensive wire! )
