Chicken breathing with mouth open
« on: September 25, 2011, 17:28 »
Hi, I have a few bantams.  One looks to be breathing with her mouth open and is looking very down, with her sister and friend sticking very close.  Whilst another is looking very down in general and all on her own.

They are all being fed garlic and apple cider vinegar, and ages range from about 12 to 23 weeks.

Any help would be gratefully welcomed.

they can do this when trying to get food through their crop (stretching their heads up and yawning) can also be a sign of gape worm, if you google both it might help?
3 dogs, 8 chickens, 4 rabbits 2 guinea pigs, 10 quail, 2 fish and a demanding daughter who has gone to uni and left me with 29 animals to care for!!=)

Have they been wormed recently? With flubenvet, not something herbal like verm-x.
