Hi im slighty new to the chicken world ive had my chicken for about 3 months
and now 1 of them has started to lay a blood covered egg for the last 3-4 days
now ive looked at her bottom and she had a little bit of blood there i cleaned it
and stoped the bleeding but the very next day she layed another blood covered egg
can some1 please give me some advice on what to do and what could of caused this to start please

Hi I had a similar problem with one of my previous girls. I took her to the vets and she had an  antibiotic injection which seemed to sort out the problem as she continued to  lay for a further year with no similar probs.

What Leddenton says!
You may need to find a chicken friendly vet.  Not all vets are and some will even refuse to treat chickens.

One of mine did this twice last week (her rear was clean though) so I gave her some cod liver oil for a couple of days which seemed to cure the problem.
