Where did it go?

How is it that it seems like yesterday I was planting 1st earlies and sowing tomato seeds and all of a sudden I'm making plans for next year. What happened to the bit in the middle? I remember the sun coming out one day, and it was quite nice, then I blinked and the dark nights are back and frosts will be here soon. Still, next year will be good un.

I think I missed summer this year

my veggies did too. although I learnt a lot from other plot holders who seemed to be harvesting a great deal more than I have. if only i could grow patience as well as i grow marestail

This year has gone by quickly - I feel like it was only the other week I was sowing seeds in readiness for summer planting but I'm now digging up the spuds and clearing away the canes.

It has been a sudden early end to the season

I just hope it doesn't mean winter will have an early, cold start as well
