At least the rasps are enjoying the rain.  Some of mine are masshooosive     That's a more normal sized fruit at the front for comparison  :)

I've had some this week like that, but you really have to pick them quick, or they go rather mushy, I find :)
Absolutely blooming marvellous when you get it right though..mmmmmmm

Huge amount from 'Growstaer Patch' in the freezer now.

Mrs Growster is bashing me over the head each time I bring them home!

Haven't a clue what they are, they're just fantastic!

Yep my Polka have just started to go mad. When do you cut them back and is it all the way down to the ground or just above?

Cut them down when they stop fruiting. Thye will send up plenty of new cames next spring--- feed them early spring  :D

You can cut them back to the ground, when they then fruit again the same time next year.

Alternatively, you can cut some back midway, and these fruit a bit earlier. if you don't have nay summer raspberries as well, this can extend the season a bit backwards for you  :D :D

Thank KC, I was going to check on how to deal with the new raaas, because there are about forty plants, and loads of off-shoots, all muddled up.

The might be Joan J, as peering at loads of images on Gurgle, they look the closest in colour and shape.

But there again, they could be just about anything...

And if anyone's near Hawkhurst and wants some roots, then email me, and call by to collect...

xx
Are there better Autumn raspberries than Autumn Bliss?
