When will she lay an EGG?

Hello, I have another question. My hen set on eggs, they are about 10 wks. old now. She has pretty much stopped rosey about 2 weeks ago, now only clucks to them when she finds a bug. My question is this: How long until she lays again? The rooster makes her a nest, and she seems interested by rosey with him, and watching him work(HA,HA), I am sure he is waiting too! My other hen is laying every other day. One more question: Why does the rooster make them a nest to lay the egg in? I think he is the ONE who wants to lay an egg. HA, HA. I enjoy watching them, and I have an appt. with the vet, he was raised with chickens, and vets his own, so I feel pretty good about taking them. Will get back soon with the results. if she has been sitting on these eggs for this long they are rotten .
the cockerals maybe a good hubby .or on the change lolo she wont lay again until she is removed completly from the eggs . its late in the season for chicks especially in the usa if ur address is pa, pennsylvania? id start to eat the eggs from the other hen .check for chicks by candling them with a bright light . read my article on keeping hens in the poultry pages .

I am sorry, she hatched the eggs, the peeps are now about 10 wks old , I'm sorry for not making that clear. I only wonder when she will start laying eggs again? Basically, how long after a hens hatches her peeps, does she start to lay again is my question. Thank You, sorry for the mix up.

no worries betty .no apologies needed she wont lay for 3 months or so depending on how tied she is to the chicks

are you in the states ?
if so can you put usa in ur signature as we keep a check on which countries we have joining us on the site ... bit like bird spotting ur werth 10 points to me .
