Asparagus angst
« on: September 04, 2011, 15:37 »
One of my 6 asparagus plants that I haven’t started harvesting yet had a single but very healthy large shoot. Despite being staked it got blown over in the gales and snapped at its base. Nothing has grown back. Is it a goner   :(

No. It will recover next year. Give it a nice fall feeding and watered if you're not getting much rain, and it will recover. Just not too heavy on the watering.
