There is a chicken keeping course for beginners by me next weekend and I was wondering if anybody had been on one and if they where worth going? Its only 2 hours and seemed interesting, useful and plenty of information.

So I was thinking of going, is something like this recommended?

I have read plenty on here and in books, so I am not sure if it would be beneficial or not. Thoughts anybody its run by the Omlet peeps.

I went on one many years ago even though at the time I had no intention of getting an eglu (the course changed my mind and I now love them). it was a good introduction to hens (I had had ducks previously).

Thanks Joyful, well I went on the course...........absolutely fantastic! 

Anybody thinking of starting and no experience of chicken (like me) I would highly recommend it, it was only 2 hours, which flew by, but very informative and extremely useful including the course notes.
