Melton Mowbray fur & feather auction?
« on: August 29, 2011, 19:57 »
Anyone been to this, comments, feedback?
Brother in law thinking of going there for Lavender Frizzles. Any other suggestions for the Lincoln/Sleaford/Woodhall area?

I have not been but a friend goes alot!  It costs £2 a year for your bidder number and he advises taking a couple of padlocks along so you can lock the biurds you buy in their display cages until you are ready to go home.  There are occasional disapperences of bought birds!

The Tuesday auction is the better one (again according to him) but there is one on a Sat as well.

It sells everything from food to hatchong eggs to all manner of fowl.

Hope this helps and I may see you there soon wjen the new chook run is finished!
