I planted two goji-berry plants in the spring.  They have put out really long (6ft) runner type growth in all directions - help.  I cannot find any up to date info about when to prune.  Can anyone help please?

My Son bought me one of these.    It has flowered but only right at the end of a couple of Looooong spindly branches.   By pruning, I think you will not get any fruit.   If they don't taste good.  .  .  .it's coming out.    Cheers,    Tony.

You can grow it in two form, bush or tree.
Bush.
When the plant has grown 18in from when you received it, cut off the tip of the main shoot growing upward. this will force the branchs to sprout new side shoots. This is where the flowers and berries grow. The side branches can also be pruned and kept manageable.
Tree.
The plant is limited to one trunk that is tied to a stake and grown striaght up with fruiting branches growing out to the side. The bottom 2-3ft is continually stripped of new growth.

Requires heavy pruning each year.
