First onion of the season

Yes folks, I've tasted my first onion of the season.  I was doing a load of weeding in my onion patch last weekend, when one of them fell over, because it was fairly wet, I put it in the greenhouse, upside down, and let it drain, so this week, I brought it home and had it on a sarnie with gammon - yummy
