Hi everyone
This year I have grown thelma saunders, Anna Swartz and butternut Squash. I have nothing showing on the butternut but the other two are really going for it, the fruit on the annas are around 9 inches across now and I am hoping that this is the full size fruit any ideas ? the thelmas are also going very well with the max size fruit at the moment around 7-8 inches long not having grown these before what is the largest they grow to also can either of these squash be taken any time or do they change as they ripen.

The Thelma Sanders (my fav) sound full grown, and they change colour slightly when ripe, to a creamy colour. See front right on last years harvest photo

Thanks for the reply, they might need a little longer as they are still just off white rather than creamy, there are plenty there so might take a sample one

they're lovely aren't they    Heart shaped with alabaster skin. They look like little works of art.  Easy  to grow too, for anyone who hasn't tried them yet
