One of my ladies has a swollen eye - I have some anti-b drops to put in the eye but as the area around the eye looks swollen too would colloidal silver ointment/spray be beneficial do you think?  Thank you in advance

Have you had a look to see if there is anything in the eye, trapped under the eyelids?

Swollen eyes can also be a symptom of myco, so keep an eye out for sneezing

Clean eye out and put some golden eye ointment it's for humans put I use it from time to time on my birds seems to do the trick, Mike

I'll second the tip on golden eye ointment.

My vet suggested I use it on one of my chicks and the swelling went down in 3 days. I also added some Tylan soluble to their drinking water in case it was something more unpleasant than an eye infection (the aforementioned sneezing was evident)

thank you - the golden eye did the trick we kept her in for a few days until she healed - no other sinister symptoms so all good
