Rhubarb for chutney

I know alot of people say not to touch rhubarb after July but mine has had a major second coming and im thinking bout making some rhubarb and apple chutney from the recipe section on here,will it be ok to use the rhubarb now?

Also quick tip for anyone short of jars and thinking bout paying for them,in Tesco the blue n white value Jam and value Lemon Curd is only 20p a jar
