Bird Pox
« on: August 08, 2011, 14:27 »
Two weeks ago, a collared dove was in our garden with a bunch of other doves.  It had a huge lump on the top of one of his wings and I thought that it was a malformed third wing.  He seemed perfectly fine.  I saw the bird two times since and each time it was thinner and duller.  Then I saw on telly about bird pox and there were several pictures of it.  That bird had bird pox!  I knew it as soon as I saw the pictures.  So now my hens have been exposed to it.  Not a happy camper here. :(
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!
