Help chicken and Turkey

I need advice i have a turkey about 15 weeks old she lives in the day with my chickens.I have now been told you should never keep turkeys with chickens as turkeys carry diseases.I dont really want the turkey to go but i dont want my chickens to die.Thanks

It is the chickens that can carry the disease blackhead which can kill turkeys:-

you will need to have plenty of room and worm all your birds very frequently and by doing so you minimise the risk, many people do keep them both together.
