ok, picking up my chicks today, when i get them home do i just put them in the run and leave them or put them in the coop. any advice welcome

I would put them in their coop (with a little bit of food and water) so they know where home is and then let them out in the morning

me too and dont be tempted to keep looking at them- they will be just fine.  Keeping them inside for a while enforces that the coop is their new home and they are then likely to run to it and go in at bedtimes

Thanks people, got them home now put them in coop with food and water, keep wanting to check on them .

you will really enjoy them and their eggs! We started with three a year ago and am now up to eight, they all have their own characters and are lovely to be around
