clipping wings

well i clipped them then watched the chicken fly past me  :lol: does clipping really work that well ? lol
1 Salmon Faverolle cross, 1 dorking cockerel, 2 orpingtons, 1 speckle rock, 1 legbar, 1 croad langshan,2 brown lohmann

Did they fly really high? mine have been clipped and can fly up about a metre but not very far.  I think the puprose of clipping isn't to completely stop them its more to unbalance them - I read somewhere that its to "make them fly in circles" tho in reality it doesn't.
The glass is neither half empty or half full - it is simply the incorrect size! Find a new glass!

We had one who kept escaping after first clipping - we just clipped a little more and that worked,,

yeah they are on their second clipping now we will see if that helps

Why are you clipping their wings in anycase?  It's not the best method to use but if you do you should only clip ONE wing.  The first 5 or so flight feathers at the end of their wing.
