What time of the year do you prune damsons, how far back do you prune.

Damsons are a form of plum, aren't they?

Plums are pruned this month, see this rhs link

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Well I never, it seems I've been doing something right without knowing it ::)

Also, last year because our plum tree was so full of fruit, it was sometimes easier to cut the end of the branch with the plums on.  This year there's more fruit than ever before ::)
