Care of thyme after flowering

I have a small common thyme bush that flowered about 6/7 weeks ago. It still has the little white flowers on and is now looking stragglier by the day. How do i get it to recover to a usable state (ie: no flowers and lush green leaves!) :blink:

I usually give mine a "gentle" hair cut to get rid of the flowers and straggly bits. it soon recovers.
