I sowed 3 Courgettes on my plot and so far they have made plenty of green growth but no Courgettes or flowers are showing.

It's my 1st year - I've grown 3 green and 1 yellow. Lots of flowers at present on all 4 plants.

I've gone a bit mad and have 10 in my garden for just the 2 of us! I gave 2 to my sister as well. I use them in cooking all the time but most will end up in soups and chutney. I have had several of them already and have just picked another half a dozen. I have made several batches of soup but haven't had any time to do my chutney yet. If only work didn't keep getting in the way.

I grow no more than 3 because when I grew 5  I couldn't move them fast enough. I did courgette soup, courgette chutney, fried them, sliced them, ate them raw, used them as door stops etc etc. They are best picked about 6 inches long.

When they grew to big I was throwing them away or just recomposting them which was wasteful.

I have 5 three yellow and two green. I do have a marrow 2 butter-nut squash,1 veg spaghetti and a small stripy squash as well.

Far, Far too many!!!

I have the grand total of 10! Reason being plot always looks empty later on ad as they grow so big they help keep the weeds under control. Plus i like giving extra away - i probably need maybe 5 for what we eat ourselves

Started with six but lost two due to the bad weather - started another five because I thought that I would lose more of the original batch but they seen to have revived so now I have 9. Much to much for two people so will be giving plenty away - when they start to crop.

Once your friends/neighbours start to avoid you and the fridge and freezer is full just compost them

Last year we had 4 plants and it wasn't enough. We really like courgettes! My oldest son will only eat home grown ones as he hates the taste of shop bought ones. This year so far we have 9 plants and there's another 9 waiting to go into the ground. Think we'll be busy this year!

I've got 2x2 green varieties and 1 yellow. MIL introduced me to a courgette layer, as it says really, thinly sliced courgettes, layered with cherry or tinned tomatoes, onions & thyme, topped off with a breadcrumb & cheese gratin, you can either pre cook the veggies and finish under a grill, or cover with foil and bake from raw in the oven, remove foil to brown cheese.

I also chuck them in an oiled roasting tin with baby new potatoes, cherry toms onions and hallolumi cheese, then break an egg in to each corner for the last 3 minutes - yummy!

I like the yellow Cousa,I have 3 of those plants,and free from the front of a gardening mag,the green bush stand by favourite,3 of those also! I decided to use them with broad beans in a creamy mustard sauce with the new style quorn sausages chopped up and fried with onions ......went down a treat here with new lady christl spuds. Good job I have so much gardening to do to keep my weight down eh? I`m eating like a piggy
