Prolonged moult?

Approximately four weeks ago, the chickens began to lose feathers and they are still showing no signs of growing back. Is it possible for a moult to last over four weeks?

The feather loss is confined to certain areas of their bodies. Two have lost feathers on their breast and tail, the other three have lost feathers from their back.
