fruit bush

I want to put something onto my new allotment its just grass and a bit of tapaulin at the momment.

I thought about raspberries gooseberries . Where can i buy them at this time of the year and is it a good idea to put them in now

failing that i could put some kind of green manure but thats not as exciting

any ideas? :?

A bit early for planting fruit bushes but you could order them. Massive opportunity for reading catalogues.
You could put in some winter cabbages - not thrilling but worth a go.
Consider raiding your local library - bags of (conflicting) advice there, but some useful pictures.
