Hi can anyone give me some advise on propagating hydrangeas, when and how, I have a really lovely pure white one potted in ericaceous soil and its doing great .

It's quite easy to do from softwood cuttings now, or hardwood cuttings in the autumn or winter.

I took softwood cuttings the year before last and they are flowering size now

 ::)thanks for the links to cuttings, will have a go and see what happens. fingers crossed.one quick question, normal cutting compost or should I use ericasious compost ?

If you're taking cuttings from a blue one - use ericaceous for them to stay blue. (if you pot them in 'ordinary' soil at all the flowers will be muddy pink)
If it's a pink white or mauve one, then the ordinary compost/soil is ok
