Cockerel, good or bad idea?

I have 4 hens & would like a cockerel but I'm obviously concerned about the noise factor (not lived in my house long so don't know the neighbours  too well).
I've read other posts that really put me off that said that their cocks crowed all night long etc.
As I understand it a cock needs to be able to stretch his neck to crow-would he be able to do this in an eglu? They are quite low so I wondering if it would restrict the crowing.

I might just borrow one for a while from a friend & if there's any comeback I can always return him

I agree with Joy!  We have 5 cockerels, but only 2 neighbours, one of whom had his own cockerel.  But yesterday a couple brought us 4 cockerels to re-home or cull as neighbours who are not even very close were complaining about them!
