Its my first time with a growing, living rhubarb, thought it was dead and slowly it came back to life. Now its huge and taking over the front garden, well my metre long strip of mud!

Every year i seem to kill rhubarb and gooseberries dead.

Haven't picked any yet as not sure whether to leave it as its quite late in the season. the stalks do look tasty though.

Ours did okay early on but then it looked like something had been rolling in it - it was all wilted and sad looking.

I wonder if it will perk up again now after some sun and rain?

Our Timperleys are thriving Ok as the season goes on,I Forced them on over the winter and had some stunning stalks in january.
Infact the Roo was our first thing to eat from the plot this year,although we did add another variety whos name escapes me but all it did was flower relentlessly....so its gone.

So,we have 4 x Timperleys in about a square yard,and although pushed for space they are giving regular stalks that me and Jude are so far really enjoying....

I started off a new bed with Stockbridge Arrow. Prepared a well manured site.

Crowns were delivered lateish in mid May. Hardly anything? Watered now and again.
